Why Lens Selection Matters in Sports Floodlighting

The best lens is not the one that gives the highest lux. The best lens is the one that gives the correct balance:

For bowling green lighting, the design should target smooth surface luminance, low visual contrast, controlled beam cut-off and reduced spill light. 

AGi32 visual rendering is useful to see the beam behaviour, but final selection should be confirmed from the numerical grid: 

Average lux, Minimum lux, Maximum lux, U1, U2, uniformity gradient and glare rating.

Lens selection controls whether the project becomes comfortable sports lighting or just a bright installation.
